LAKE COUNTY RETIRED TEACHERS ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
| Description: | This scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior to recognize scholastic ability and achievement, contributions to the community and a desire to pursue a career in education. |

| Value: | Two (2) scholarships of $1000 each will be awarded in the spring of 2008 for the 2008-2009 school year. Each will be payable after the successful completion of one semester of college studies |
| Eligibility: |
- Applicant must attend a Lake County public high school
- Applicant must supply two (2) letters of recommendation: one from a high school faculty member and the other from an adult who is not a relative, familiar with the applicant's participation in the community.
- Applicant must intend to pursue a career in education.
- Application must be received by the stated deadline.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE |
- Submit a completed application, including the essay and list of activities.
- Submit the two letters of recommendation, and a copy of your high school transcript.
- Return the completed application, recommendations, and transcript to your school counselor by Tuesday, April 1, 2008. The Lake County Retired Teachers Association must receive the completed application by Tuesday, April 15, 2008.
- The winners will be invited to the June 10, 2008 luncheon meeting of the LCRTA.
